Create a sophisticated bathroom space with unparalleled ease and speed. Utile by MAAX is an innovative shower walls solution, available in a range of rich colors, deep textures, and stylish patterns that look and feel like tile. Why is Utile superior to tile? Starting with purchase and installation: with tile, several other materials are required, and a professional must complete the 3-day installation. Alternatively, Utile walls do not require the purchase of other materials except silicone, and a few tools if not already in hand. They are fixed directly on the studs in 1 day and do not require hiring an expert! As for the long run, tile is a sturdy material; however, grout requires regular care and maintenance to keep its look and integrity long term. Utile walls, on the other hand, offer smooth textures or have realistic and carefree faux grout lines that will not crack!

This is a great shower. One thing - please note that the interior length is around 46.5", *not* 45.5" as shown above. After prep, the installation took just an hour or so. The individual pieces are light enough to be carried by one guy, so it was easy to unload and handle. Very much recommended.. Mdci. Maury County, TN. Thu Apr 30 2026

Finished in crisp white, the surround combines a clean rectangular tile pattern with a wide integrated niche featuring a subtle wavy back panel for a modern built-in look. The niche provides generous shelf space for shampoo, soap, and other shower essentials while projecting outward into the wall cavity rather than taking up additional shower space. The four-panel configuration includes two side walls and two back sections for a complete three-sided alcove surround. Constructed from SMC, the panels are designed for direct-to-stud installation within a framed wall opening. The bright white finish and streamlined built-in storage create a versatile look for contemporary, transitional, and classic bathrooms. Luxury shower surrounds at an affordable price for the DIY enthusiast in pre-cut kits for common shower wall sizes. These panels are lightweight and easy to carry, cut, and fabricate. Cutting can be done with a skilled saw, angle grinder, jigsaw, etc. To fabricate you can use a Dremel tool, miter, etc. We suggest using Locktite PowerGrab adhesive or Boss 125 adhesive to adhere panels to the walls but compatibility with the other substrates might need testing. We suggest applying the adhesive to the panel and applying circle blobs of caulking about 6”-8” apart throughout the sheet. We also suggest applying 100% silicone, about a ¼” thick continuous silicone bead around the panel about ½” from the edge to ensure a good edge seal and prevent moisture or debris from getting behind the panel.

Went up easy enough, looks great no issues with product. Installation tip, remove plastic covering from edge before attaching corner and side trim. Harder too do after installation.. Andrew. St Catharines, ON. Tue May 05 2026

A little tricky to install because we discovered our bathroom walls weren't as level as we thought. Needed to caulk a bit extra. One side was difficult to get it to stick because of said issue with the wall bowing slightly outward. We had to use fast drying adhesive and brace it. Other two sides went up great. It was the work of a weekend and looks clean and modern. Great alternative to tile if you are looking to DIY a full tub surround. Would recommend to DIY or people on a budget looking for easy tile alternatives.. Anonymous. Sat Oct 10 2026
