It came in a large wooden crate which was very heavy. There were several hundred screws and retaining clips to build the pieces. The directions werent perfect, and actually showed the fasteners backwards so they must have recently changed those. It took about 3-4 hours to build the small unit. The materials are very heavy duty and feel commercial. The design makes a good use of the footprint it takes up. The only problem we have is that we ordered the walnut/black color, but it came in oak/black. Each piece had a sticker on it that said oak. It was nice how the pieces were labeled for easy installation. I'm still waiting to hear back from customer service to see if we can get the correct color, because we would not have ordered the oak for the room we purchased it for.. Brittany. Wooster, OH.
