I was concerned about wobbling and squeaking, but it was sturdier than I expected. I tested the top bunk myself (I weigh about 180 lbs). It also looks nice. My 14 and 11-year-old girls love it. I did use my own right-sized rubber washers for non-critical bolt connections. I also used Bunkie Boards on the slats to spread the weight, minimize further squeaking/sounds and protect the mattresses. They can't wait to decorate it with different stuff. No regrets so far.. I am very disappointed with this purchase. THE GOOD: I like that it was full over full. Assembly was quite simple. THE BAD: The fully assembled bed is quite wobbly. 350lb max weight for bottom bunk. 250lb max weight for top bunk. You can hear every movement. The bed wobbles with movement. I almost feel like motion sickness for me. Luckily its for my children. I won't be going through the hassle of returning. I will be seeing how it holds up. I don't recommend for anyone else.
