To be honest when I unboxed the parts I thought it looked a bit cheap. However, it ended up coming together quite nicely and looks much better as a whole than its parts by themselves. It holds a ton of wine bottles! The shelves will accommodate most sizes of wine bottles. It's great for the time I used it! I actually stained all the pieces to be a darker color and match my other furniture. I used this for a year or two before upgrading to an actual wine fridge though, because I don't have central AC and there is too much temperature fluctuation in my home for storing wine (especially in the summer, it gets wayyy too hot in my house for wine -- it HAS to be in a fridge).
