I vented the unit because several previously had stated venting helped dry faster. After speaking with manufacturer support I was able to have a better experience with this unit. I orderd my dryer from the LG web site. I was anxious because I wasnt sure how smooth it would go. As it turned out- evrything went well, even when I needed to change the delivery and installation date. Also, I researched and learned that I got a better price ordering directly from LG. I had a complicated install with it being a stacked unit and installed in a smaller, yet adaquate laundry closet. The installers were excellent and gained my full confidence. Just like the matching washer, I bought it for an upstairs laundry closet area where a normal size stacked washer and dryer just would not fit in my home. We are running the water lines next week and I honestly cant wait to get everything installed upstairs, but for now I’ve been trying it out in the basement and have been really impressed with it so far. One thing I had to learn at first is that heat pump dryers work differently than a traditional dryer. I was expecting clothes to come out feeling really hot, so at first I thought something was wrong, but once I read about how they work it made a lot more sense. It’s more energy efficient and much gentler on your clothes, which I really appreciate. The 40 minute quick cycle has been great for smaller loads, and I also love that you can set it to keep tumbling to help prevent wrinkles if you don’t unload it right away. The drum light is also a great feature and makes it much easier to see everything inside. Another thing I really like is the lint filter design. It has a nice double filter setup with very fine mesh that does a great job catching lint. I also love that this is ventless, because that opens up so many more options for where you can put it. It’s wonderful for spaces where you normally couldn’t install a dryer, and I also like that you can optionally hook it up to drain automatically instead of having to empty the water container. Another nice bonus is that it’s WiFi connected. I wouldn’t say that’s something I absolutely need, but it is really nice to have. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This compact washer has been a really nice setup for me. I bought it for an upstairs laundry closet area where a normal size stacked washer and dryer just would not fit in my home. We are running the water lines next week and I honestly cant wait to get it installed up there, but for now the photos show it in my basement so I could try it out because I couldn’t wait. It’s compact, so I wouldn’t expect it to replace a full-size washer for giant loads, but that’s not really the point. For towels, clothes, smaller bedding, and regular day-to-day laundry, it seems like a really nice option. I like that it still has a lot of useful features like the AI Smart Dial, steam settings, and a quick cycle that works great when you just want to wash a smaller load without waiting forever. It also looks really sleek, and the size is a big part of why I chose it. It will fit perfectly in a smaller closet area where having laundry upstairs is actually possible, which makes it feel like such a practical upgrade for everyday use. It feels like a very smart solution for smaller in-between loads and added convenience. Another nice feature is that it’s WiFi connected. I wouldn’t say that’s something I really need, but it has actually been super nice to have. Getting it connected was a little finicky and took a couple tries, and that would be my only tiny nitpick because otherwise this machine is 5 stars all the way. Once it was connected, everything worked great. If you’re like me and throw in a load of laundry and then completely forget about it for a day or two, the phone notifications are a lifesaver and can save you from having to wash the same load all over again like I usually do Overall, I think this is a great option for someone who wants the convenience of a washer in a smaller space or on an upper floor. For me, it’s already been a big quality of life upgrade, and once it’s fully installed upstairs I know it’s going to make staying on top of laundry so much easier. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally, a dryer that actually dries clothes when it says the cycle is complete. We purchased the dryer and washer together and both have been great so far. I am only planning on speaking to the dryer though. First the positives, - The dryer uses heat pump tech, meaning no ventilation needed, which was a huge bonus for us. - It is noticeably gentler on clothes. - Dries clothes and comforters completely in a single cycle, without needing to rotate them. - It is very quiet, very different from what I've had in the past. - Lint trap is very easy to clean - With the app, it has a decent amount of features and customizations. - Looks very modern. Now the negatives, - Scatches easily. It already got a small scratch that happened during the install process. For the price, I'd expect better durability. - It take on average twice as long to dry clothes due to this being a ventless dryer. Works super well! We’ve been going to a laundromat for the past 3 years while living in this apartment, and I definitely think this portable washer cleans our clothes much faster, and way better than the laundromat washers. Perfect for city bachelor This is perfect for a single guy like myself who can sometimes forget to transfer clothes to the dryer. I put the clothes in before the gym or bedtime and clean, laundered clothes awaits. Follow the instructions and don't overload. I would also recommend some wool dryer balls to cut drying time..
