As advertised, generally pretty good, but very light weight. If I had seen it in person, and had the chance to pay more and get a more substantial filing cabinet, I would have happily paid more. Nonetheless, this is a metal (albeit very thin light-weight metal) filing cabinet and it works as it should. I used it with both drawers set for 8 1/2 x 11 in the standard way which is what I needed but I don’t think this is clear from the pics and verbiage online so I thought it best to say that both will work perfectly well for 8 1/2 x 11 file folders.. Before I even started building, I was impressed with the packaging. Everything was secure, clearly labeled, and they even included gloves to protect your hands while working with the metal. Much appreciated. You do not even need to hunt down a screwdriver, which is a nice touch. I checked the edges and felt a couple sharp spots on the inside, but after assembly, I could not find them anymore. They must be tucked away securely within the structure. They recommend two people for assembly, but I did it solo without a problem. I had to use my foot or lean something against the wall a couple of times, but overall it was very manageable alone. Now for the build. At first, I was skeptical. Some of the metal pieces seemed very thin, and I honestly did not think it would look good or feel sturdy. But it came together better than expected. Everything fit well except one piece that needed a little extra push, possibly due to a slightly thick metal coating. Once in place, it was fine. If you have larger hands, a few of the screws may be tricky to work with since they sit very close to the surrounding material, leaving little room to grip or turn comfortably. File cabinet is a nice piece of furniture but it was a beast to assemble. It took me six hours to assemble it; two of the six hours could have been avoided if I have secured the cabinet to the wall. After assembling the cabinet and placing the folders it was really wobbly, so I decided to secure the cabinet to the wall. The dark purple is a great color - file cabinets are fine for the price point. One of the two I ordered has a sizable dent on one corner. I received the cabinet the day after the order was placed. item was well-packaged and undamaged, with all pieces enclosed. It took two people to assemble it. However, the instructions left a lot to be desired; a video would be more helpful - we actually found one online posted by another vendor and used it to confirm our setup. Due to space limitations, the cabinet is sitting in my L/R next to a large traditional piece of cherry wood furniture - and it actually blends in nicely. This is a beautiful piece of office furniture. Looks very good. Took about 3 hours to put together. If you are not good with reading instructions fully get help. It's somewhat strong, but I would only use it for hanging file folders. The bottoms of the draws are made with some sort of hardboard and the weight is not sufficient to hold much of anything else in my opinion. They are just slid into slots on the bottom.
