This is another one of those things that I loved when I saw it and then saw it again...and again. So I finally got it! So happy with it. It is absolutely perfect in the room I got it for. Do note that the lamp comes with plenty of cord and chain to hang it from a higher ceiling. I have a standard height ceiling in the room pictured and installed the lamp by using just the chain lock connector that came with the supplied chain. It worked beautifully, with the lamp not hanging too low in the room for my preference when installed this way. The metal finish on this is very nice as are all of the glass pieces. Installation was pretty straightforward, with the part that took the longest being attaching the glass pieces to the frame. Mission Handcrafted tiffany stained glass ceiling light lampshade is slight heavy than you expected, as it is made of really 100% stained glass. But when you knock it, it sounds like plastic. That's why? Because of its special manufacturing process. Each glass piece is cut by hand, then polish the edge before wrapping the copper foil. The edges of the glass pieces are wrapped with adhesive copper tape (copper foil). Then putted together in a mould according to the pattern. At last, using soldering material to weld each glass at a very high temperature. The Stained glass is Much Heavy than Plastic, and couldn't been burned, normal knife couldn't cut them. Easy to Check it.

The quality of the fixture really impressed me as soon as I took it out of the box. The glass pieces feel substantial and well set, with colors that look rich and vibrant when the light is on, not washed out or cheap. The metal components feel sturdy and secure, and nothing about it comes across as flimsy or poorly made. It has the look and weight of something that’s crafted to last, not a temporary piece I’ll be replacing in a year or two. Overall, I’m genuinely happy with this purchase.
