They project a very nice pattern. If the light gets a decent amount of sun during the day, it will last all night. If it's in the shade, maybe not. The different light intensities and colors are very fun. I used green to go across my lawn and white to go down the side of my driveway. I did have one stop working. I took two screws out of the back of the top and found the cable from the battery to the circuit board had disconnected. I plugged it back in, the light came on and has been good ever since. Yay!!!. These are great and look very nice!! They give off a soft orangey glow. The light comes down from the top inside, so there is no glare or eye adjustment at night. Also, they don’t flicker, which is hard to find with garden lights. I wanted ones that don’t flicker, so I was glad to find these.
