The pool cover I ordered was 24ft. I only needed 18ft. I was scared that it wouldn’t be big enough and wanted some over hang. That’s exactly what I got! Not complaining. Just if you are on the fence with what size to get, it would have had plenty of overhang I believe. The problem with this is not the size, nor the quality. The cable thing that tightens the cover was broke. So we are having to use cinder blocks to hold it down. That is the reason for the 4 stars. Having to wait so long to receive it after ordering, we didn’t have time to go thru the return or wait for replacement parts. Thankfully we have it big enough that it engulfs our 18foot hard sided pool. If it wasn’t that big, I think keeping it on with the broken part would be challenging. All and all, we are satisfied with it. If we hadn’t waited so long for delivery, we would have requested replacement parts.. Melissa. Edenton, NC. Wed Sep 16 2026

Great quality and arrived well packaged. I haven’t installed the pool cover yet since I’m not ready to close my pool, but I wanted to leave a review because it arrived in perfect condition. The 16x32 mesh cover was packaged very well and appears to be good quality and sturdy. Everything arrived as expected with no damage. The metal installation pieces are extremely sturdy, heavy, and well made. I’ll update my review once I’m able to install it and see how it performs over the winter. At this stage, my impression is generally positive. The cover looks substantial and appears to be what we expected. Aside from the small snag and the not-immediately-obvious instructions, I have not encountered any significant concerns. Closing an in-ground pool for winter should not mean a green pool or hours of cleanup in spring. The Blue Wave Arctic Armor Rectangular In-Ground Pool Cover is a heavy-duty solid tarp for pool cover built to handle what the off-season brings, so the pool opens cleaner when it is time to reopen. It’s made with a 14x14 laminated scrim woven polyethylene, a dense material that forms a solid barrier against leaves, twigs, rain, and snow. The reinforced, heat-sealed seams run across the cover to lock out water, resist splitting, and help block moisture and debris. Because the panel is solid rather than mesh, water collects on top instead of draining through, and the black underside limits sunlight through the off-season to help slow dirt buildup and reduce cleanup at opening. This winter cover for inground pool is sized for rectangular in-ground pools, with an extra 5-ft overlap that extends beyond the pool edge on every side. The metal grommets every 2 ft accept the included vinyl-coated steel cable and ratcheting winch to cinch the cover down, and sewn water tube loops every 4 ft around the perimeter allow you to anchor the cover with water tubes (sold separately) for a snug, steady fit without deck anchors. A second person makes installation faster on a pool this size. This is a winter debris cover, not a safety cover. Do not walk on it or allow it to support weight. A layer of water on top is normal and helps hold the cover in place against wind; a cover pump (sold separately) can clear excess after heavy snow. Backed by Blue Wave’s 15-year limited warranty (full coverage in year 1 and prorated coverage in years 2 through 15), plus U.S.-based customer support and over 35 years of pool industry experience.

Has held up nicely for the last 2 years through these New England winters, although we do use an alternative for the weights on the perimeter.. Matthew. Ellington, CT. Tue Jan 03 2017

The quality of this is amazing. It is thick and heavy duty! I am interested to see how it holds up in our strong winds. The only issue we had is with the tightener, but we made it work. I wish there were some instructions but we were able to find a video online. Overall I would recommend just based on the quality of material and ease of use alone!. Chelsea. Harbor Springs, MI.
