The box became damaged during transit. After opening and removing the first layer of the plastic wrap I begin hearing an oozing sound, contrary to me not even opening the standard vacuum wrapped plastic. It slowly drew in air and took about two hours to really look like a mattress, then continued settling overnight until it reached its full shape. Comfort wise, this mattress definitely lives up to its extra firm description. It has very little give, yet feels supportive rather than hard. It was wayyyy too soft for us and was killing our backs. So I took a chance on this after reading the reviews and getting in for the sale. Best decision ever! I’m not exaggerating. Great mattress for the price. The mattress fits the bed (also a Wayfair purchase) nicely. The mattress was easy to unpack, there is an outer package and the actually mattress is vacuumed sealed with instructions of how to unroll it safely.
