This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. Incredibly uncomfortable. Back seat cushions don't stay put. The frame of the couch is very lightweight and we've had instances where sitting down hard causes the wooden slats to pop out of the metal frame, causing the sitting person to suddenly sink INTO the couch. Came in four or five boxes and is very heavy. Took a minute to figure out how to guide and attach the the pieces together but once we got it - it was solid. You’d never know it came in pieces. Very nice, compact sofa. Comes packed in an efficient box and is easy to put together. I would suggest for a low-use room as it is small. There was a small tear in one of the seat cushions.
