These Hevea butcher block countertops were just what I wanted for my new office. They were well packaged and arrived without damage. A few coats of matte poly were easy to apply. Nice smooth edges too so no additional sanding needed. They were less than half the cost of what I could get through my local big box DIY store. I have an entertainment center made by the same brand that is amazing so I figured I would give this a chance and it did not disappoint. It is very sturdy and I love the color of the top. The only thing we did have to do is cutout the back where the refrigerator sits because it was not giving enough air circulation, so our refrigerator would not set itself to the coolest setting so our drinks were warm even after a week so until we finally removed the backing on that side is it able to regulate itself in our drinks are perfect.
