This product is easy to use right out of the box. There’s two baskets for the single cup side so you can brew with grounds or a k-cup. I’ve used both and both work well. There are ridges in the water basin so you can brew small to large cups. The traditional multi-cup pot side is pretty standard with a mesh filter basket and pour in feature. When you hit brew on either side, it takes a minute to heat the water before it starts coming out but you can hear it so you know it’s doing something. I find this portafilter to be particularly useful for testing extractions on La Specialista machines. I have the touch model, and it works perfectly. Well packaged - and all parts accounted for. Looks very sleek… touch screen. It’s a little big - the grinder is enough for a few cups of coffee. The milk frother is detached- you have to connect a tube to use it. I guess it’s a nice option if you don’t need it - easier for cleaning too. The coffee team gs uses the same solid steel conical burrs as found in high-end automatic coffee machines. The slow grinding of the burrs imparts minimal heat, preserving more aroma than blade grinding for a finer, more uniform grind. I’m really happy with this espresso machine! I’ve been using it at home and honestly love it. It’s simple to use, heats up pretty quickly, and the coffee comes out really good with a nice crema on top. I also love the steam wand because I can froth my milk and make lattes at home. It took me a little practice to get the hang of it, but once I did, it was pretty easy. Another plus is how nice it looks on my counter. It has a clean, modern look without being too big or taking up a ton of space. It also feels sturdy and well made. So far, I have no complaints. I actually look forward to making my coffee in the morning now instead of buying it out.
