I looked at so many chandeliers to find the right one to replace the old dark amethyst crystal chandelier that was hanging in our house when we bought it 13 years ago. We needed something simple and airy, and I was drawn to this fixture because of that. I ordered during Way Days, so it was a great buy. I put it together myself while watching TV with my daughter. It was like doing a puzzle! The electrician removed the old fixture and installed this one (with a medallion from a local hardware store that I painted with ceiling paint). Installed six LED chandelier bulbs, and it is very bright! Love the little metal details around the candlesticks. The center decoration isn't wood, but really, really looks like wood. These directions to install the light were sort of vague. It still wasn’t that hard to figure out and follow what was there. It took me about an hour to take down and replace with the new one! We like how you can change the bulb orientation, it was a little hard to turn but it went though and we chose to orient the bulbs vertically instead of leaving them horizontally. We love it!
