It’s really nice for the price, but smaller than expected. It looks like solid wood, but the dimensions provided were false. The unextended length is 47 in and with extension only 59in. Love our new Kenia Extendable Table! Excited to be able to mix and match with the matching Kenia chairs and Allen’s Tufted Velvet chairs to seat 4, 6 or 8. We opted to set up the table at normal table height, but it comes with extra risers if you’d prefer to set it up at counter height. The table also includes a leaf to extend the table so it is a square - instead of rectangular. Loved the white glove delivery service. They set it up as a square and then took the leaf out. I’m writing this review now in the hopes that I will be updating it soon with better things to say. I ordered the Calila rectangular dining table to refresh my kitchen several weeks ago. Th table included white glove delivery that I was very happy to try. It has been quite an adventure but not the good kind. The first table arrived, and I am very impressed with the white glove delivery and the delivery guys. The problem was that once they began assembly, they realized that the hardware included was not the right size and would damage the table, so they wrapped it all up and ordered me a new one. The second table came and was assembled with the correct hardware but when they flipped it over it had a big chunk out of the top side so back that one went. I hoped 3 was a charm but not so lucky. The pictures I have attached are of the partially assembled table sitting on my kitchen floor where it has been for about 2 weeks. When the guys started the assembly, they once again realized that the included hardware was wrong and would damage the table. They immediately called Wayfair and new hardware was to be sent. I’m still waiting. Wayfair has been very receptive, but the manufacturer/warehouse has been less than helpful. It’s just some screws or bolts and the package would fit in my palm so I’m not sure what the shipping hold up is. I just got an email saying that my parts would be here in about 3 weeks, ugh really? I do believe the table will be nice as I already have the matching bench sitting in my kitchen waiting for its table. The cane sides are very nice, and the bench is sturdy so high hopes for the table. To be continued…okay now that I finally got the hardware and finished putting the table together, I can say I am very happy with it. There was a minor flaw on the topside of the table but unless you are looking for it it's not very noticeable. You can see it in the picture attached. I do wish the cane was in a bit more securely but all in all the quality is good. It is also a very attractive table, and the cane sides make it more so. The Hereford dining table is a perfect blend of craftsmanship and functionality, ideal for both the dining room and kitchen. Firstly- Wayfair customer service is actually great. They sent me a whole new table after parts went missing in shipment, and even picked up the old incomplete table. Secondly- this review needs a video. It's shocking how easy it is to expand this table- and it looks so continuous- it doesnt suddenly have a completely different grain in the middle. I love that the leaf stays in place and protected- and that i dont have to get everyone's help to extend my table. The table itself is stunning and so easy to assemble. The wood grain is just the most divine color. It looks luxurious and Im in love. One downside to this table that I didnt think about- the legs are not actually getting 19" further apart. The top is expanding- which makes it super easy to expand, but a bit more of a challenge to fit chairs across, as the legs arent getting further apart. So you kind of do need to use small, maybe some elegant folding chairs, when you extend, as a full additional dining chair probably wont fit on each side Lastly- the packaging of the leaflet isn't great. Both tables, the leaflet was bent and partially damaged. We were able to use a rubber mallet to hammer back in place. We were lucky the new table had damage only on the hidden side of the leaflet , but our first table was badly damaged on both sides. oh, and, after Christmas, we had a small hole on the table- not sure what, but kind of seemed like a burn mark. it seems like the top layer of the wood might be fragile and prone to heat damage- I'll just have to wait and see about longevity. For the packaging, legs, and potential fragility of the top surface, im giving 4 stars to an almost perfect table. After all, the legs issue is probably a problem with all built in leaflet tables, but just one i never thought about before, and one that really hinders seating of large parties.
