As it only suspends 6.3”, this clean-lined flush mount is a great choice for a room with a low ceiling. And we love the acrylic rattan drum shade that lends a coastal vibe while also slightly diffusing the light from the three standard bulbs (sold separately). The fixture is made from metal and hugs the ceiling and is not visible behind the shade. It is rated for use in dry locations only, so consider it for the entryway or powder room, or think about a row to illuminate a kitchen island or dimly lit hallway. I bought 2 of these lights. They arrived well packed and in good shape. The electrician seemed to have no trouble installing them. They look like the photos in the Wayfair app. My aging eyes need strong light. Each of these lights equipped with 100w equivalent LED bulbs creates a pool of light strong enough for me to read or do hand sewing without eye strain in about a 10x10 foot area. Wow! I have never used chandeliers for over island lighting but this room and island screamed for it. There’s only two lights over the island in a big great room. They had to be large, but not heavy.
