It's NOT silent!  It's hard to fairly review a clock that doesn't match its description.  It is nicely made, doesn't look too cheap.  However, I bought it mainly because the title and description said it was silent non-ticking quartz movement.  It has a very audible tick-tick-tick and the typical shaky second-hand movement. I can hear it from the top of my basement staircase even though it's placed 8 ft away from the bottom of that staircase.. Jean. Massachusetts. Thu Sep 10 2026
