My husband and I were able to get them all put together ourselves. We are SO happy with the results! Without the extension leaf, the table seats 4 comfortably and could accommodate 6 in a pinch. I have a small eat in kitchen and my table is really a work table that's where I repair everyrithing, make may textured paintings, etc So I mixed this base with a solid wood cutting board top, which I later oiled Very happy with the results I must say, this table has the very best packaging I have ever seen. Every piece is in a plastic sleeve and everything is so thightly packed with foam prottection sonothing can move. Almost funny when you thinks about it, this model table has a base that has obvious aging marks throughout which a few scratches would never be noticed and yet its packed better that most I ever seen..
