We love this vinyl carpet protector for our stairs. It looks very nice, is non-slip and confirms easily to the stairs and stays in place with a minimal number of staples. I had a very hard time finding vinyl stair protector runners. Others were dangerously slippery and did not stay on the stairs even with lots of staples and nails. I selected this runner for the sole purpose of protecting my carpet from my dogs messes. It would better serve a long narrow hall but i don’t have that so I used it underneath my dog’s crate. These are in the style of a Roman shade, which is a nice concept for covering the glass panel in French Doors. They are magnetic, so easy to position up or drop down. However, instead of some type of metal or sturdy resin material, the “rod” inserts at the back of the shade are cheap plastic tubes which do not fit tightly enough or stay together very well— when inserting to the back of the curtain, the sections come apart. There are several colors to choose from, and the material is lightweight, but blocks even the strong sunlight we have in the desert.
