This table in cherry walnut does not look like the photos, it is much more orange than cherry. It also does NOT come with any game pieces. I am using my pieces from another chess set. The drawers are soft-close and can hold quite a bit, however the drawers are not particularly deep. The granite is beautiful and since this chest is so large there is quite a bit of granite surface area. I purchased this for my office but it would look beautiful in a bedroom as well. In fact, I kind of want the bedroom set after seeing this in person. I am so happy with this purchase.
