This came well packaged to prevent damage. I am doing a whole house remodel so I will update my full review once my electrician hard wires into the wall. The finish is beautiful - gold but soft and subtle like it should be - not gaudy. I will use it in my living room above my couch to showpiece an original piece of artwork. Looks expensive and high quality. NOTE: does not plug in and requires hard wire into the wall just like a wall sconce.
