My 12 year old son and I had no problem assembling this in about an hour. I the wood is not as thick/sturdy as I had hoped. I think it will be excellent for our first 4 chickens. We will have it inside. Covered run with a water proof cover so hopefully it will last a little while. The bottom metal tray seems fragile. I hope it can withstand the weight of 4 chickens. We've had the coop about 2 years now. We keep the interior deeply filled with woodchips or straw and replace it every 2 to 4 weeks depending on condition. The ramp only lasted about a year but we have replaced that easily. Generally, this has been a safe, secure coop and in combination with a secure run, we have not lost any hens or eggs to predators. We just finished putting our coop together. All items were in the box and labeled. It was a big task putting it together but instructions were easy to follow. The coop is really nice but light weight. Need to stake into the ground. Our chickens are too young to put in there but are excited for that day. Easy assembly however it does take about 6 hours to but together. There were a few undrilled boards. Also the cover doesn't stay on with windy days with it being Velcro. I love this coop! It’s cute and perfect for what I need it for. Exactly what I wanted. Fair price for what it is. I did have a problem with a couple of things when assembling. First the bar going across the middle base was the opposite direction than shown in the instructions. I made it work, hopefully the floor holds up. second the hardware for the last part of the roof were pre installed backwards and up too high. Pictures attached in order. Absolutely love this chicken run! It took several days for my husband to put together, but it seems to be pretty sturdy material.
