In total, there were only 6 parts: the 4 legs, the top piece and the bottom shelf. From unboxing to building to moving out the old TV stand to setting everything into place on the new TV stand, took about 45 minutes. I think it looks super high end, even in person, and would have paid twice the amount and still been happy. I had a handyman assemble for me so I cant speak to the assembly issues others mentioned but he got it together very quickly.
