I absolutely love this sturdy, heavy dresser. It feels very solid and looks much more expensive than it is. The only downsides are that I wish the drawers were a bit deeper, and they occasionally stick when opening and closing. The hardware used for the drawer slides does not allow the drawers to glide smoothly, which seems to be the main cause of the issue. Also — this thing is an absolute BEAST to assemble. It took about 3 hours to put together, so definitely set aside some time and patience. Overall though, once assembled, it’s a beautiful and substantial piece of furniture.. Anonymous. Holy moly that took maybe 6 hours to put together but I LOVE it!!! I’ve probably put 20 pieces of furniture from Wayfair together, and this was by far the hardest. I was nervous about the pre-drilled holes not lining up like in other reviews but mine were fine and honestly, the wood where the holes are is so thin you could easily drill your own. The only part I screwed up was step 3 with board number 5. Board 5 is smaller and the screws have unique placing so be sure to everything lines up perfectly when you get to step 5. Excellent dresser! The colors were a bit darker than the reference image (I got oak). Still gorgeous! The dresser is mostly acacia with some rubberwood. Very heavy, very durable, very high quality. Usually, dressers have an MDF back, even super expensive ones, but not this one! Solid wood, through and through. The drawers aren't huge, but they're totally usable. I also liked the full color instruction booklet! The bolts and screws come vacuum sealed on these small, flat cardboard panels, all clearly labeled, and provide far more hardware than necessary! For those who struggle with assembly: just pay close attention to the booklet. It's very clear and well-labeled. The pieces themselves are labeled too. The package arrives in a big, rectangular cardboard box that weighs about 130 lbs. Since the pieces are packed so well, there wasn't a single scratch on the entire thing! A lot of thought clearly went into it. I noticed some other reviewers complaining about the camlock hole placement and the drawer alignment. It's a skill issue. First of all, the head of the camlock pins need to be positioned correctly in the camlock holes. If the pins are too deep or too shallow in the hole, the camlock won't catch. You can easily use a screwdriver to adjust the depth of the pins, and readjust as necessary as you assemble it. Just make sure you tighten them past the friction until they stop, and no further, otherwise you'll bend the camlock or even break the wood. Certainly no power tools. Second of all, on each of the drawer rails there's a little star-shaped metal piece that you can twist to align the drawers so they don't scrape against each other or the frame.. Marco. The Northborough double dresser is a beautiful piece of furniture once it has been assembled. I am very impressed with the rich and variegated wood that is used in this piece. Although the wood grain of the dresser is excellent, and it appears to have a high level of quality, there are manufactured wood pieces contained within. Having said that, I would like to take a moment to discuss the assembling process. A total of 66 cam bolts are used together with 66 cam rods and an equal number of dowle rods. There is a tendency for furniture that is built with cams to be less stable. Hopefully this piece will be the exception. This is a labor intensive project that requires a lot of time and effort. Communication for the delivery was above exceptionally great, the delivery was early and they were so very nice and respectful. The package is was well protected and wrapped. The dresser is well worth it because the quality is just that, a forever piece of furnishing. The trim and edges are great, the only thing that I didn’t like is on the top surface it looks like two circles were placed there to cover maybe a nailed spot. Only thing I didnt like was since it was delivered by Federal Express boxes for this plus 1 dressers were left outside . Heavy items to bring in. I opted for the assembly service and so glad I did!
