This is a really beautiful and sturdy piece of furniture. Mine did come with a crack on the top edge. But it did not affect the structural integrity and so I reported it to the manufacturer. They were great to work with and we came to an agreement that I feel is fair to all. This does come with a marker too in case you scratch something while assembling and so I used that on the crack and though I know it is there, I doubt any guests would ever notice it now. It is heavy so make sure you don’t try and move it by yourself. About 100 pounds. Pay extra attention to the instructions and orientation of the pieces which are sometimes hard to see in the pictures. **Ours in the final photo is still under construction..it needs to be leveled on each side. We also moved the top section close to the ceiling because we are going to build around it and make it into one full wall unit. I did most of it myself until the big pieces needed to be rolled over or stood up and when it came time to put the doors on. I was a little disappointed that one of the 4 units that came in looked like it was damaged and repaired but thankfully customer service offered a solution. Also about 4 of the door handle bolts were too small and wouldn't work. The shipping boxes were a little beat up but the packaging was good inside and it all survived getting to us.
