First of all I love it! I could not believe though that the shelves were not made of clear glass so the lights illuminate both the top and bottom. So I bought two 11X14 picture frames, cheap at the dollar store, and used just the glass and the frame as shelves. They fit perfectly. I then used one of the wood shelves as a base for my subwoofer. This TV stand is beautiful once assembled. Our TV is 80 inches, so you can see how it looks under a larger TV. There are many pieces, so I recommend hiring someone to assemble it. A professional built ours in about 45 minutes, which saved a lot of time and frustration. The wood quality feels a bit cheap for the price and looks somewhat flimsy when first taken out of the box. Not bad, build quality could be better. Large pieces came broken the first time, second time was better but there were more chips in the wood veneer that I hid with a wood marker. Used a wood polish for the large slab the tv is sitting on as it was looking dry and lifeless. One of the cabinets isnt aligned properly as there were missing holes for the screws.
