Value Overall a nice dresser for the price if you can catch it on sale. I also took the additional 10 discount for keeping the item with the drawer box damages. (I tried to get new boxes but they said it had to be completely returned, and I didnt want to deal with the hassle.) 2 of the 6 had some damage or weren’t well built, but for the price, it’s a chance I was willing to take because I love the visual. The drawers have to be pressed completely shut, but that doesn’t bother me since I read the reviews and expected that. Visually I would call it more of a mahogany look. The hardware is not cheap gold which I appreciate. Theres a little brass discoloration if you look closely, but no one would notice. I also chose not to put the feet on it so it could be lower for my son’s room. (The exposed corner technically doesn’t match the wood grain, but I’ll get some touch up pen to take care of that.). I saw a lot of mixed reviews mentioning misaligned drawers and bad pre-drilled holes, but that wasnt my experience at all. While assembly was definitely time-consuming and tedious, it was pretty straightforward, and everything aligned perfectly for me. The kit does come with a Phillips head screwdriver, but like most pre-packed furniture tools, the handle isnt very comfortable. If you dont have a nicer screwdriver already, Id recommend getting one because your hand will hurt after driving so many screws. I used a cordless screwdriver, which made driving screws into the areas without pre-drilled holes a lot easier, though you could definitely manage without one. The color and dimensions are 100 accurate to the product description online. However, as other reviews have noted, the drawers are on the shallow side. More importantly, the drawer slides are set up so the drawers do not pull out all the way. There is a good 4 to 5 inches per drawer that stays inside the unit when fully opened. I think this is probably a safety feature to prevent tipping, and for my needs—storing clothing like sweatshirts and sweatpants—it really doesnt matter. That said, I would not recommend this unit if you want to store something like craft supplies, as reaching smaller items out of the back of the drawers would get annoying. The drawers do feel a little bit flimsy and loose when pulling them in and out, which is where its most obvious that this is a flat-pack piece of furniture. However, I was able to fit them together easily, they are perfectly aligned, and they stay on their tracks without any issues. The color is perfect, although the wood grain is painted on rather than real wood and some color rubbed off when I removed a scuff that was on the front of a drawer when I unboxed it.
