This 9-drawer dresser brings vintage-inspired styling and generous storage to the bedroom. First things first: she’s beautiful. The dresser looks exactly like I hoped it would in my space, and aesthetically, I’m VERY happy with it.
Now, let’s talk assembly because you need to know what you’re signing up for. I’ve assembled a lot of furniture over the years, so I’d consider myself pretty experienced with the whole “here’s a box of 700 pieces, good luck” situation. This dresser still took me about 6–7 hours total to put together by myself. I took breaks, used a power drill where I could, and a regular screwdriver where needed. The instructions weren’t necessarily difficult, there are just many pieces and A LOT of screws. You will become intimately familiar with every component of this dresser by the time you’re finished.
I was able to assemble it completely on my own and didn’t really run into a point where I absolutely needed a second person, even when moving/flipping it. That said, if you don’t enjoy assembling furniture or simply value 6–7 hours of your life, I would 100% recommend paying someone to assemble it.
As far as quality, the main frame feels solid and I definitely would NOT describe the dresser as flimsy. The drawers and some of the individual pieces are made from lighter/less substantial materials, so don’t expect the same construction as a heavy solid wood dresser from a traditional furniture store. But I also don’t think that’s what you’re paying for here. For the price point, the quality, functionality and overall look are very reasonable.
For me, this isn’t my primary dresser, so it’s perfect for what I needed: extra storage that actually looks really good in my bedroom. The drawers function well, it feels sturdy once fully assembled, and the finished product looks much more expensive than it is.
I originally purchased assembly through Wayfair, but there was an issue with the third-party assembly service. I won’t hold that against the dresser itself and Wayfair’s customer service was actually fantastic. They refunded the assembly charge, followed up with me and made the situation right.
Overall: would I buy it again? Yes. Would I personally spend another Saturday assembling it myself? Absolutely not. Next time, somebody else can have that bonding experience with the screws while I admire the finished product.
