My 12-year-old daughter loves the bed. I paid someone to assemble it, and it took approximately two hours. The bed is very sturdy once it’s anchored to the wall. My daughter is only 5’6”, and she bumps her head quite often underneath the bed. The ladder is also a bit uncomfortable to climb, even though it comes with padded steps. Boxes are well labeled minus telling you which box the instructions are in. Ours were in the side rail and slats box. Intuitive to put together- we did most of it without instructions simply because we hadn’t found them right away. Unfortunately, the desk draw face was cracked and bent so we will need to repair it. There were also several yellowed/tan spots where the paint either wasn’t mixed properly or stain within the wood came through. I feel confident a coat of white over these spots will cover it. We ordered this for a Christmas present and shipping was way faster than expected so we didn’t open the boxes right away to inspect it. We are m happy with this loft bed. The quality of the solid wood is m better than we expected, and it feels m sturdy once assembled.
