I needed a bed frame fast to accommodate my daughter visiting with her new born. The frame was delivered as expected. It was easy to put together, considering I am assemble challenged lol. I put it together without help. As a new mom my daughter was in and out of bed often and said it was sturdy. I’ve had it since 2023; the wood frame bars are still in tact, no crackling or squeaking and it’s been used everyday and still in excellent condition. Overall, it’s a cute daybed, but there are a few issues. First, the color is inconsistent. The front and sides of the bed are the same color, but the back is noticeably different, so the colors don’t match properly. Second, the backrest does not feel sturdy or well designed. When you sit on the bed and lean your back against it, there is a gap between the backrest and the wall. Because there is no support behind it, it feels like the backrest could crack or break in the middle if you lean against it. We had to shove the pillow in there to fill in the gap.This makes the design feel impractical and poorly constructed. The room is currently unusable. As a long-standing Wayfair customer, I have never experienced anything like this. Returning it would also be a tremendous hassle because I paid for professional assembly and would now need it disassembled and package item. I truly regret this purchase. I love this bed! I put it together myself, so it went a little bit slower, but it is completely manageable. The drawers roll under the bed- each wheel has space for 4 screws, but the drawer frame only had 2 pre-drilled for each wheel; they still work just fine! Color and design are exactly as I expected.
