I bought this chair for my 91 year-old mother, whose old recliner had worn out. It was easy to put together and fits really nicely in a smaller space. The chair is sturdy and very comfortable, and the upholstery feels like good quality. This would’ve been a five star review if it weren’t for the fact that the recliner lever was damaged on arrival. Absolutely beautiful chairs. I bought the brown (darker) version. I was somewhat confused because everything online says these chairs are genuine leather. However, the instruction manual as you can see in the photo says faux leather on the cover. I emailed Wayfair and they responded back to me and called me to let me know that they believed this is genuine leather and that the instruction manual must be a generic one the manufacturer sends out and possibly this company makes a chair that looks identical that is faux leather. I do believe these chairs are genuine leather because as I was unpacking them the entire house smelled like leather and I don’t believe that is not something you get with faux leather. It looks and smells like genuine leather and I’m very pleased with these chairs. Where the leather was folded for corners, you can see stress indicators on the leather, which I hope will not cause a shorter lifespan in the durability for the chair. Time will tell. Right out of the box ! we bought 2; kind of a Graphite Black color - they were packed/shipped very well & delivered quickly (Summer 2025)- they went together easily, the swivel recliners met & enhanced the aesthetic theme expectations of the space they are in beautifully! After a month of moderate usage in a sun-light/UV protected space, by 2 people w/no animals i will unfortunately have to change the initial 4.5 star rating to a 2.5 star rating for the following reasons: 1) the chair back & w/recliner extended is designed to comfortably accommodate a person under 5'9" - works for me at 5' but not my husband @ 6'. 2) the recliners foot-leg rest only extends to full-out - there is no partial or 1/2 way for the leg extension. 3) on both chairs, the leather on the head-rest & seat-back & the seat cushions very quickly/prematurely began drooping/sagging, wrinkled & starting to show a crack/split appearance (that is not due to years of age as would be expected) and is only getting worse over time. The price-point for these at the time was reasonable & on paper the 'look' & description of them seemed to be the perfect fit to enhance our Great Rooms furniture suite; unfortunately the quality of these recliners materials & the size/mechanical limitations are disappointing and will not meet the hoped for expectations for comfortability w/a quality handsome appearance or the quality of durability & long wear. - sv.
