Soft, dries quick, high pile. Only reason it gets 4/5 is because it doesn’t actually look as nice as the photos in the ad. This set is beautiful! I like that the design/feel is slightly different on both sides. Usually, reversible rugs are exactly the same on both sides, so this was a nice change. The thickness of the set is what makes this feel so luxurious. It's like night and day compared to standard rugs. Also, the different lengths/sizes in the set make this even more useful. I love the quality - it's very hard now to find cotton bathmats that don't have rubber on the back - although I wish both sides were knotted. One side is tufted, which gets smashed down when wet. Apparently, that's supposed to be the "right" side and my other complaint is that the labels were sewn into the edge of the knotted side, which I use most often.
