In the winter, if a planter is to remain planted, they should be raised up off the ground making sure not to block the drainage hole. This allows the planter to drain and will prevent the planter from freezing to the ground. If the planter is not to be planted, it should be brought inside to a garage or shed. If this is not possible, follow the steps above, but turn the planter upside down to prevent it from filling with snow and ice. It should then be covered or wrapped with burlap or any absorbent material and then wrapped with dark plastic to prevent it from accumulating moisture.

Perfect! Great quality, look, size, shape, etc. I found a similar/same item (but under a different brand) on the Wayfair site in black, but stalled to order and sale price increased from $120-ish to $166.99 in one day. Was very bummed until I found these for $104 each - the photo, dimensions and description were identical (except for color). Thought I was settling, but the brownstone color is beautiful - not a chocolate brown like I feared, just a neutral grayish-brown that's slightly speckled and really looks great. Attached is a photo next to a black container for reference. Also love that the thick lip around the planter makes it feel substantial and give it extra strength, even though its a 1-ply heavy gauge plastic pot. They are well packaged, come with an Allen wrench to screw the feet on and heavy substantial not so heavy that you can’t move them, but they’re not flimsy at all they were back ordered and I had to wait longer than expected.
