This is nice, but.... It took a lot longer to put together than I wanted. The wood is not finished, so you need to do that yourself. That also adds to the cost. I bought a "green" varnish for the inside and regular for the outside. Be careful not to split the wood screwing together the boxes if you are off center. Now these are COOL! And goodness, what a brilliant assembly structure. Those little locking tabs are genius. A couple bottom screws and boom, done. They’re well built and exceptionally sturdy. I sprayed the hydrogen peroxide, vinegar and salt solution and they were good and rusty in like two hours. I like that they come with a special netting basket for dirt in the top shelf area should you decide to plant insist rather than just use pots. I’m not sure which direction to go yet. This planter was very easy to assemble. I like that I can adjust the shelves inside. The shelf also has holes in it for drainage. I didnt think about it until after my purchase, but Im a little concerned about plants overheating since this is a metal planter. Im not even sure this should be a real concern. I highly recommend.. Insufficient packing/shipping boxes resulting in damage is often a disappointment with otherwise decent products. Assembling the first product was a bit of a challenge.
