The chair requires some assembly, which only takes about 15 minutes to get everything out of the box and ready to sit on. It does sit a bit low to the floor but it is very comfortable and being oversized gives you plenty of room. Attractive chair. Firm but very comfortable. Not quite "chair and a half" width but definitely allows you to settle in. The chair does have a low profile so check the measurements to make sure it will work for your space. Best bang for the buck! I bought the three seater couch that came with (2) ottman's as well as the chair. The installation directions were super easy and I put them all together quickly.
