This stoneware mug set features four round mugs with insect and bird designs, each with a different insect or bird design. The mugs have a smooth surface and comfortable handle, and can be used for various drinks such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or soup. The set is suitable for any room style, from farmhouse to French country, Scandinavian to lodge, and coastal. The mugs are made of durable, smooth stoneware and have a glazed finish for a shine. The set measures 4 inches in diameter and 3.5 inches in height, making it a versatile and cute accessory that enhances the drinking experience and ambiance. It can be placed in various rooms, including the kitchen, dining room, living room, or office.

Contrary to description on Wayfair website the cups say “DO NOT MICROWAVE” on their bottoms! The description says “Lead Free” … but there’s a California Proposition 65 WARNING attached at the bottom of the page, which could indicate/mean that the glaze or paint used in the mug decorations contain lead !! These mugs are made in China, where it is apparently more common, and allowed to find lead in the ceramic cups and/or glazes or paint used in decorations (like these cups have on the outside). The glazes (containing lead) used in China apparently ‘react’ to acidic liquids… LIKE COFFEE AND TEA … which is what I bought them for!. Robin. Wed Aug 06 2025

Enjoy your favorite hot drinks in these Heritage Green Italian cottage mugs from Spode. Made in Stoke-on-Trent, England from fine earthenware, each mug features the beloved Italian design in a soft green hue. Comfortable to hold and full of character, they’re perfect for slow mornings, cozy evenings, and everything in between.

I received these four Green Heritage Italian mugs through Wayfair in perfect condition. The design on the outside of the mug goes all the way around without leaving a white stripe for the handle. The handle has a bit of design on the outside as well, adding a bit of attention to detail that is characteristic of Spode pieces. The manufacturing process is quality in that all four mugs are identical none are misaligned or missing part of the transfer pattern. I will be happy to serve my guests in these mugs.. Cheryl.
