I am very happy with this hood. The quality of build seems solid, installation instructions were very clear, and it I think it looks great. It takes some planning and work to get it installed. You have to make sure your ceiling joists and ductwork is going the right direction or be prepared to do some modifications. I have a soffit and had to take down a bunch of drywall to modify the framing, run the 14/3 romex for the light/fan and modify the ducting. Then I replaced the drywall, taped, texture, paint and installed the hood. Fortunately it all came together nicely. I was able to held the hood in place while my wife drive the screws into the framing. I think it will be worth it in the end because the hood won’t be blocking the view in front of our cooktop.. So far so good. Install was relatively easy, but because of its size, having a few extra folks to help hold it in place would be a good idea. My wife and I managed, but it was a bit tricky for just us 2 folks to install and we almost gave up. The gesture control seems a bit finicky, and we can't get it to work reliably. Maybe with time we'll figure it out. The buttons work fine though, and the remote control is a nice touch. The stainless-steel finish, display, and led lights look great. Definitely an upgrade from the Broan powerpack it replaced. As far as noise, it seems to be as loud as our old Broan PM350 we replaced. The grates tend to vibrate a little, so that with the fan contributes to the noise. I was hoping for something quieter, but it's no worse than the unit it replaced, so not a deal breaker. As for airflow, it seems a bit stronger than the broan unit it replaced, which was rate for only 350cfm. This one is rated at 900cfm at max speed, but i don't have a way to measure/confirm that. The fan cage seems bigger, and it's been doing a good job so far of keeping the smells/vapors out of the kitchen while cooking. Well this is a great product but putting it together was a lot! The instructions were hidden along with the screws necessary for installation. Very nice Range Hood! Really good quality. The fan isn’t too loud and the light is VERY bright, but can also be dimmed. It also comes with a remote which is a nice convenience to have. This is a work in progress. I’m so far very happy with the quality of this range hood. The look is what attracted me to it. I wanted something modern but not too common. I will need to follow up with more pics after is fully installed. It is quite heavy so I’m reinforcing my ceiling just to make sure it is very secure. The High-Light hood features a white matte panel that fits into the ceiling while extracting any impurities with its perimeter aspiration.
