Attaching them to the top of the shelf and using a dowl or pvc pipe (I havent decided yet) to keep items on the shelf. This works great. My shelf brackets and clock are also from Wayfair. The return at the ends allows for your drapery curve back towards the wall removing light creep at the edges. The double rod is also very helpful at providing the option of what kind of lighting I want throughout the day. I really love this curtain rod. The hardware is stunning, the rod is sturdy, and relatively easy to install. Two reasons for 4 stars - I wish it came with extra hardware, we broke a few anchors tapping them into the ceiling. Also, the finials are slightly discolored. They look cheap comparatively to the rest of the rod. Not a deal breaker for me so still 4 stars.. Mary. Metuchen, NJ. Tue Apr 28 2020
