I didnt use these as they were intended. I have a long shelf in my pottery studio that needed a bumper rail of sorts. Attaching them to the top of the shelf and using a dowl or pvc pipe (I havent decided yet) to keep items on the shelf. This works great. My shelf brackets and clock are also from Wayfair. I really love this curtain rod. The hardware is stunning, the rod is sturdy, and relatively easy to install. Two reasons for 4 stars - I wish it came with extra hardware, we broke a few anchors tapping them into the ceiling. Also, the finials are slightly discolored. Wayfair was much cheaper than manufacturers site, and Wayfair had longer lengths than big box store that cuts them into smaller pieces.
