I’m not sure why other reviews said that these were flimsy. Maybe they weren’t installed correctly. My husband did a great job installing these. We have blackouts and sheers on them. I am so excited to find an item that I can use to easily hang my curtains from the ceiling! What a gamechanger. It can be so hard to find a curtain rod that I can use over the blinds that are on our slider and this does the trick. It was no big deal to get it assembled and mounted. I needed curtain rods to hold lightweight sheers, preferably ones that were inexpensive due to me having 2 bedrooms with 6 windows to buy for. I knew these rods were not built for heavy curtains but that's not what I needed them for. They will hold up my sheers perfectly and will look great (and not as ornate as I usually buy) at the same time. These were very easy to hang and I love the "anchors" included with the hardware....they made the process of installation so much easier and pain-free. You will need a 1/4" drill bit (as the instructions tell you) if you're installing into drywall and not a stud. I used a cordless screwdriver/drill and it worked great.
