We have a "Florida basement" storage room in our modern organic coastal home that needed a light. This was perfect, nice (not cheap) quality and a little fun. This one could fit seemlesy in most rooms and mesh with various decor. It has a strong output for its size. Use LED lights, and you can pretty much set the fan and forget it. The panels look like glass but our plastic making it safer to install and lighter. Highly recommend cool Edison bulbs to really make a statement. This was exactly what we needed for a family cabin room! It goes great with the older cabin decor, adds a great bit of airflow, and offers quite a lot of light. I love that it works well on a dimmer, too, and that the remote is easy to work. Do you note that I could not figure out if there was or was not a dimming option for the lights on the remote (do not believe there is), but because we have that switch on a dimmer, we can dim the bulbs. That is important to me because the LED bulbs would be too bright if not dimmable. The fan is wonderful and works incredibly well, with many options for various speeds and a button to push if you want the fan to be completely quiet. The fan works in both directions to push air or pull air upward. The lights and fan work independently, so you are not required to have both on to use one or the other. The wood material is nice and looks great. I love the slats in the shade that offer some visual interest. Note that the fan material is plastic rather than wood, but it looks realistic.
