It's a pretty fixture -- we installed it in a small room where there's not a lot of air circulation, so we have electric fans that take up space. I didn't want to put a traditional ceiling fan there because the room is a bit too small for that. So this piece works perfectly. You'll need to pair the remote (press the round center button for 5 seconds) and you'll be on your way. The light color and brightness are adjustable. I set it at warm white now and it makes such a big difference. (The pictures here are a cold white.) The best part is, the fan is powerful and remarkably quiet. Very happy with the purchase.. Eric. This fandalier is lovely! Several light options and fan speeds. And if you still want to use the wall switch to turn on the light, it uses your last light setting from the remote. It has a glam look to it - the led lights sparkle. My only complaint is that remote is black (it should be white to match the fan). My electrician said it was easy to install. Great purchase!. Amy.
