This shade was a great replacement for the old, yellow one that broke. It features a soft, bright matte white finish. Although it comes with a cap equipped with two holes for pull chains, only the center chain is functional because the opening is too narrow to use the fan chain—at least for my model of fan. This wasn’t an issue since I use a wall switch to control the fan, but it’s something to keep in mind if you depend on the chain for fan operation.. Anonymous. Wed Apr 01 2026

We have a ceiling light in a hallway that does not have a wall switch so the ceiling fixture requires a pull chain. This is an excellent low profile option on its own (no ceiling fan).
