It went together pretty easily but it takes awhile. I want to say it took me about 12 hours to get it completely together. The instructions are easy to understand but some of the bolt sizes it says to use are not correct. There are a lot of 2-14” bolts and a lot of 2-12” bolts. However it tells you to use the 2-14” bolts in almost everything and you run out by the time you actually need the 2-14” bolts. I ended up going back and installing the longer 2-12” bolts in a lot of places where there is thicker lumber and called for the 2-14” bolts to be able to have enough 2-14” bolts to use where they were actually needed. Also I flipped the swing and slide so I could have the play set oriented the way I wanted in my yard. The directions don’t explain how to do that but it’s easy enough to figure out. If you have a heat gun use it to assemble the slide it’s super helpful. The whole thing is a bit smaller than I expected. It’s perfect for my daughter who just turned four but I was hoping this would be something she could use until she was maybe 8-10. I’m worried she will grow out of this sooner than I had hoped. I absolutely LOVE this swingset! I would highly recommend it. Quality is incredible and it looks beautiful. This comes in 3 large boxes of parts and a slide. It’s a great idea to lay out all of the wood parts organized by letter and I would also encourage you to lay out all of the hardware by number otherwise you end up looking for parts for quite a while. There are tons of pieces but it goes together really well. I used the Bilt app which is also amazing for when the steps aren’t very clear on the paper directions (you can also use the app to look at a 3D model of any step from any angle which is very helpful). I would also recommend having 2 drills or at least an extra drill battery. I worked on this project for about 16 hours total with help from my dad and husband when extra hands were needed.. Lia. Great Playhouse! The directions on the other hand were terrible… My husband has a lot of experience in building, and this took about eight hours in total to put together due to the poor instructions. The Playhouse itself however, is great. My son really loves it. It feels sturdy for the most part, but my husband does intend to put three more two by fours under the main floor for additional security because it does feel a bit rickety in some places. I would not however call this unsafe as it does support him, myself, and our child with no issue. The floorboards just bend a little as you walk over them, which makes us a little nervous. Satisfied the need and the kids enjoy it. Completed building in 2 days - totaling 6 hours or so with another body. Day 1 was more structure and day 2 was the final pieces that 1 person could handle. HIGHLY recommend the parts are organized prior to building - it helps immensely. Although, I don't feel like it is a product to last for years to come. During assembly there were times where screws when enter the wood and strip easily inside. Used shims to secure and fasten. We weren’t quite sure whether our kids would appreciate a backyard play set versus going to our local park, but we are so glad that we went for it. I’ll start with the assembly: The playground arrived in 4 large boxes that were, admittedly, intimidating. However, between the piece labeling, pre-drilled holes, and the companion assembly app, I could not have asked for more help. This was the first time my wife and I have built something like this, so maybe it’s a normal feature, but the 3D interactive app was truly a God-send. All in, it probably took the two of us 8 solid hours across a few days and dozens of kids’ naps. Once it was set up, it was an instant hit! Like I mentioned earlier, we were a bit apprehensive about the purchase, but when you see the actual quality of the product and all of the features that it has, the value is truly worth it. Lastly, it feels extremely sturdy. I think a sealant is necessary just to protect the wood, but I feel confident that it will hold up to the years of abuse the kids will give it.
