I’m very pleased with this purchase as was my final big purchase and project in my garden renovation. The build was fairly straightforward and took about 7 hours to complete with 2 teens and myself. The only issue we encountered was that several pre drilled holes for the top lattices were a bit off center. However we were able to correct. We are very happy with our Backyard Discovery Beaumont 14x12 pergola! The only negative would be the time it took to arrive, which was about six weeks. Otherwise, it is very well made and looks beautiful. You need at least three people to put together. We are very happy with this gazebo. The wood quality is very good, and the finished product looks beautiful and sturdy in our backyard. Assembly was easier than expected. Two people in the family were able to put it together without hiring outside workers. The instructions were clear, and the parts fit together well. I would recommend wearing gloves during assembly to help avoid scratches or small injuries, and having a ladder will definitely make the process easier. One thing I would suggest is adding an extra coat of wood stain or sealer if you want more protection. I did that for mine because I want it to last longer. Even without it, I think the wood feels durable, but if you live in a humid area or want extra long-term protection, adding a wood sealer is a good idea. One of my favorite things is simply sitting inside the gazebo in the early morning or late afternoon. The shade, fresh air, and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect place to relax and unwind. I’m not sure we could be happier with our gazebo. After spending time budgeting and planning a build-from-scratch project, this became clear to us that it was more affordable and frankly better looking. We love the size of the posts and the look of the metal roof. We are looking to add lights and fan(s) in the near future. Ours is a 15x13. We would consider ourselves very handy with tools and construction. It took four of us (two in our twenties and two in our forties) a three day weekend to put this together. The hardest part was the height of the roof and the reach needed to attach some screws. None of the work is challenging. It just requires some basic construction skills and teamwork (patience)..
