Assembly was extremely easy, eight screws and done. It has a decent amount of weight but not heavy. The finish is smooth and it sits comfortably at 14 inches wide. We have a very long covered outdoor entrance and I have been looking for something to put in that space. Then I saw this bench, and although it’s a bit pricey, it’s worth it! Absolutely gorgeous! Sitting leaning forward in our sauna isn't comfortable at all for me, even resting my hands/elbows on my legs. I want to relax and leaning back without damaging/staining the sauna is what I wanted. Gorgeous, heavyweight tea, precision fitting of joints. Sturdy is an understatement….just a warning, pay attention to the tiny stickers that are numered and lettered as the leg stickers should match up precisely with the bench stickers on each side. Looks great and very sturdy. Did have an issue with one of the bolts being very tight during assembly, and worried it might snap. But got it in far enough that it doesnt stick out.
