This has to be one of my favorite décor purchases of all time. I cannot overstate the degree to which this has elevated the back yard. It was relatively easy to assemble. Took 1 person under an hour with a ladder. It comes exactly as advertised and as pictured which is all too rare these days. It anchors deep and well in the ground. It is definitely darker than the photos show, more of a very dark gray. I assume it will fade some to a lighter gray, similar to what is show. FYI - you will need to pre-purchase a 4x10, to cut in half. These will be used to place in holes dug roughly 36 inches deep and set in concrete. Hopefully that saves someone else a trip. The arbor is beautiful and strong. I gave it 4 stars because there is an issue. The lattice is made of very thin cedar (less than 1/4 of an inch) and it is stapled together. A few or the staples came loose during assembly and will need to be redone. I am considering adding stronger cedar boards on the sides to strengthen it. At this price point, I think the manufacturer should have used stronger wood for the lattice. There were also a few bumps and marks, but these were minor. This arbor is exactly what I wanted for my native honeysuckle: solid wood, salt treated, not flimsy. Rounded edges, anchors included. I have very sandy soil where I put this arbor so I had to use extra anchors: 4 foot rebar pounded almost 3 feet in, and I think that'll do unless we get some serious weather. It took me several hours to put together just from having to drill the holes for the top bars and the anchors, if they had been pre-drilled this would be 5 stars.. Teresa. Middleburg, VA. Overall it seems well made and easy to assemble. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The one question about when the arbor could be painted was answered by the company very promptly. The only negative was that two of the 4" lag screws used to attach the top of the arbor to the sides sheared in half while being "manually" screwed in with a hex screw driver. Had to get replacement bolts to finish putting it together. Strongly suggest you get some extra hardware and return to the store if not needed. Very happy so far ( 2days) with the final product.. The packaging and quality of the cedar is very good. Like Teal, of Pomona, NY stated in their review: it’s a box of wood and bag of hardware and some very simplistic instructions. As a prolific builder and DIYfer I used my experience in assembling the arch. Fortunately, I have a pneumatic brad nailer with galvanized brads which made short time in nailing the many pieces together. I did not follow the slat spacing suggestions from the directions, rather having read the reviews, I made my own jig spacers after careful measurements. Pros: Good quality cedar; Looks excellent when completed; Assembly is straight forward once you figure out the spacing; Left unfinished the cedar will gracefully weather Cons: Directions need embellishment; Not for those wanting a quick assembly; Took over 6 hours to complete; Nails provided are not galvanized and should be of an outside product; Only 2 decorative wooden “arrows”---should be 4 for two on each side; Added longer and beefier exterior screws at the top/side joints for more strength. The Leisure season garden arbor makes for a fantastic addition to any garden that requires functional value without compromising on aesthetic appeal. It has a minimal and practical structural design that makes efficient use of space and is pleasing to look at. It has a gorgeous and attractive build that has a unique visual charm. This arbor is made from premium quality solid wood that serves to provide it with lasting durability and excellent stability. The garden arbor from the Leisure season is brown in color. It is resistant to mildew and rot, making it well-equipped for its outdoor role.

This product would easily be a 5 star product if it had been shipped in protective foam (it came cracked in 4 places) and if the pre drilled holes were actually pre drilled. It was too much of a hassle to ship back so i accepted a partial refund and kept it. That said it’s only half assembled because of the missing pre-drilled holes.
