It is fine. I got the mahgoney. The color online looked lighter but it is truer to mahogany in person. I almost didnt buy because of the complaints about assembly and quality. I had no problems. If you are experienced with assembling furniture you know what to expect. Quality is what you expect for self assembly furniture. Jennifer. Durham, NC. Sat Oct 10 2026

The top is a heavy board that is edge and finger joint glued together and finished in veneer. The legs are also fingerjointed boards. It generally looks nice, but the finish is quite sloppy. there are some rough spots where it was not thoroughly sanded too. I purchased this table because it was on sale. I would not pay full price for this table based on the finish.. Krystal. Port Ewen, NY. Sun Jul 26 2026

Made of solid pine wood from renewable resources.

It’s nice, but like some of the other reviews, the bottom drawer did not fit initially so I had to saw a piece of wood in half for it to fit not a huge deal, but if you’re not handy with power tools, or have a local mill to help you with it. Overall nice quality.. Bradford. La Jolla, CA. Fri Sep 19 2025

Great desk, solid wood and packaged to get here un damaged. Fairly easy to put together, BUT. This is a nice desk. But, as someone mentioned, the top coming in 2 pieces ink kinda unfortunate. Also, the top is NOT a full 1.5 inched think. The edges are, but about 2 inches in it's just .75 inches in the middle. That was the most disappointing. it does appear to be real wood vs particle board though. So if you're looking for a full slab top, be aware. I didn't see if spelled out in the description.. David. Phoenix, AZ. Thu Oct 15 2026
