These are nice chairs, look good and are sturdy. If you plan to keep them in the shade or in a covered porch or patio then you should be fine. It can take a little water and sun exposure from time to time, but as long as its not exposed to the elements 24/7, it should be fine. We planned to keep this out in the yard and made the mistake of choosing these wooden chairs instead of HDPE. We live in Florida, and get extreme sun and also very heavy and frequent rain. On the fence about these. At first glance they look nice, finish is natural, shape is good. However the first disappointment is that while I used the stated measurements multiple times they just arent quite as roomy as they should be. Was trying to match or come close to complement my existing Adirondack chairs but these are smaller than their stated measurements. So be aware of that if you expect larger people to be sitting in them. We have them in a covered spot so they will probably hold up well but will see as the winter progresses.. Anon. CO. IMO, great chairs! The package and all parts arrived undamaged, parts are well organized in the box with clear labeling, instruction manual is well written with clear/simple drawings, the chair color (light walnut) looks good as advertised, and the chair assembly is painless. First, the included wrench is marginal. IMO, start your chair assembly with a standard wrench - it'll make for a more pleasant experience. Second, I would pre-drill all the screw hole ends to eliminate wood cracking, specifically the seat back (see photo). Use a 3/32" drill bit or smaller on hole ends to prevent wood cracking. Two white Adirondack lounge chairs with retractable footrest: great value, free shipping, arrived on time in just a few days, well-packed, easy to follow assembly instructions with pictures and all parts clearly labeled. All nuts, washers, bolts and two simple tools were included and well-marked. The chairs are attractive, very sturdy, comfortable with three reclining positions and there’s a fold up with a handle for transporting. Although they are heavy we feel that this is a reflection of the high quality HDPE material that will not deteriorate in the weather as our two previous wooden chairs did. These chairs are great. Super comfy. Not the easiest to assemble. There are a couple of weird parts I’ve never used before. But once you get the hang of it, it’s not too bad. A little disappointed that the instructions say they’re best inside or under cover, as ours will be outside. But we’re in Florida and it’s been a couple of months and they seem to be doing fine. Chair is cedar and looks like the one pictured (good). Not sure what “handcrafted” means but it’s a stretch. Chair was made with a power router (by backsliding Amish?) and only the seating surface is sanded. Very rough surfaces. Came with zinc bolts not appropriate for outdoors. Came mostly assembled and solid. Pre-assembled parts do have coated screws. Reasonably happy but seller should remove Amish and handcrafted from title and send galvanized bolts.. Daniel.
