The chair is comfortable. I sat in the chair in the store for 90 minutes doing work - computer, reading, and hand writing. (Thank-you staff for letting me do this on a slow Monday morning.) The reason that I am not rating it 5 stars: the arms are comfortable, but not as adjustable as I would like. One annoyance is that the pictures on the construction instructions did not match the chair. I was still able to fully assemble, adjust, and place the new chair in the home office in under 20 minutes from delivery. The auto-adjusting lombar support works well. I do think if you are short and use the maximum lumbar support you may need a footrest. My husband on occasion needed a second pair of hands.
